Maroon 5’s “Don’t Wanna Know (featuring Kendrick Lamar)” received substantial first-day airplay at the pop and hot adult contemporary radio formats**.

Aided by “on the hour” airplay promotions and the enthusiasm one would expect for a new Maroon 5 single, “Don’t Wanna Know” garnered 1,162 opening day spins at the pop format. It meanwhile earned 490 at hot adult contemporary.

The counts position “Don’t Wanna Know” at #31 on Mediabase’s building charts for both formats, which rank songs based on airplay for the first four days of the October 9-15 tracking week.

The strong start ensures “Don’t Wanna Know” will make a big splash on this week’s official Mediabase pop and Hot AC airplay charts.

**A version sans Kendrick Lamar was made available to Hot AC radio, and it may account for a significant percentage of the airplay
