Ratings: “This Is Us” Tops “The Voice,” Ranks As Tuesday’s Top Show

If the first two “This Is Us” episodes were praised for nearly matching their “The Voice” lead-in among adults 18-49, imagine the raves ratings pundits will have for this week’s episode.

Airing in its regular 9PM timeslot, Tuesday’s “This Is Us” actually posted a better adults 18-49 rating than its “The Voice” lead-in.

According to fast national data posted by Showbuzz, this week’s “This Is Us” drew a 2.8 adults 18-49 rating and 9.82 million total viewers. The numbers top the 2.6 rating and 8.75 million viewer mark garnered by the previous episode.

The 2.8 adults 18-49 rating was the best posted by any Tuesday night original.

NBC led into “This Is Us” with “The Voice,” which drew a 2.5 rating and 10.64 million total viewers. It followed “This Is Us” with the season premiere of “Chicago Fire” (1.8, 7.52 million).
