Ratings: NBC’s “Timeless” Is No “This Is Us,” Still Wins Timeslot

While it did not launch as impressively as fellow “The Voice”-boosted newcomer “This Is Us,” NBC’s “Timeless” won its timeslot Monday night.

According to fast national data posted by Showbuzz, Monday’s “Timeless” premiere posted a 1.9 adults 18-49 rating and 7.66 million total viewers.

The 1.9 rating was network television’s best for the 10PM hour. CBS’ “Scorpion” drew a 1.7, while ABC’s “Conviction” posted a 1.0.

The viewership figure was the second-best; “Scorpion” led the night in that column with 8.81 million. “Conviction” drew 5.44 million total audience members.

Retention for “Timeless” was not fantastic — “The Voice” drew a 3.1 and 11.94 million in the 9PM hour — but it is hard to be sour about a timeslot-winning performance.

Attention will now turn to whether “Timeless” can retain its solid (if unspectacular) premiere audience in the weeks ahead.

— Airing out of “The Voice” (but on a Tuesday night), the 9/20 “This Is Us” premiere drew a 2.8 adults 18-49 rating and 10.07 million viewers.
