This summer, The Chainsmokers topped the Mediabase pop radio airplay chart with “Don’t Let Me Down (featuring Daya).”

This week, the duo returns to the summit.

Up one place, The Chainsmokers’ “Closer (featuring Halsey)” grabs #1 on the Mediabase pop radio airplay chart. It seizes the throne from Major Lazer’s “Cold Water (featuring Justin Bieber & MØ),” which falls to #2 after one week on top.

“Closer” received ~17,278 spins during the September 18-24 tracking period (+1,572). “Cold Water” garnered ~16,750 weekly spins (+273).

The second pop radio #1 for The Chainsmokers, “Closer” represents Halsey’s first chart-topper.

Spun ~15,132 times this week (+1,008), Shawn Mendes’ “Treat You Better” enjoys a two-place lift to #3. Sia’s “Cheap Thrills (featuring Sean Paul)” holds at #4 with ~13,474 plays (-1,104), while Adele’s “Send My Love” drops two spots to #5 with a spin count of ~12,827 (-2,389).
