Shawn Mendes’ “Illuminate” Pacing For 100-105K US Sales, #1 On Billboard 200

“Illuminate” is on track to become Shawn Mendes’ second #1 album.

Based on early sales data, Hits Daily Double projects “Illuminate” to sell 100-105,000 pure US copies during the September 23-29 tracking week. Barring a surprise mid-week release, the count will easily be enough for #1 on the Billboard Top Album Sales chart.

Track Equivalent Albums (track sales/10) and Streaming Equivalent Albums (track streams/1500) are harder to predict early in the week, but they should provide “Illuminate” with upwards of 20,000 in additional consumption units. That 120K+ consumption total would easily be enough for #1 on the Billboard 200.

“Illuminate” is Mendes’ second full-length release, and it will be his second #1 album. His debut “Handwritten” topped Billboard Top Album sales with 106,000 US sales and the Billboard 200 with 119,000 units.
