Lady Gaga’s “Perfect Illusion” Debuts At #15 On Billboard Hot 100

Given the absence of mystery regarding this week’s #1 song — it was obviously going to be The Chainsmokers’ “Closer (featuring Halsey)” — the biggest Billboard Hot 100 story concerned Lady Gaga’s “Perfect Illusion.”

Where did the lead “Joanne” single debut?

The answer is #15.

That comes in below the #6 entry point achieved by “Applause,” Lady Gaga’s previous lead single.

The Hot 100 ranks songs based on combined activity from sales, streams and radio airplay. This week’s position is based on the song’s first week of sales and streams (September 9-15 tracking week) and first full week of radio airplay (September 12-18 tracking week).

“Perfect Illusion” debuts at #2 on Digital Songs (sales) and #25 on Streaming Songs. It does not make the 50-song Radio Songs chart.
