“Veep” Repeats As Emmy Winner For Outstanding Comedy Series

Veep [HBO]

Last year, “Veep” ended the “Modern Family” streak by capturing the Primetime Emmy Award For Outstanding Comedy Series.

This year, it builds a streak of its own. “Veep” earns the top comedy trophy for a second consecutive year.

In addition to fellow nominee “Modern Family,” the critically acclaimed HBO comedy beat out “Master Of None,” “Black-ish,” “Silicon Valley,” and “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” for this year’s Emmy.

The Outstanding Comedy trophy was the second-to-last award of the night. Only Outstanding Drama remains.
