From a live+same-day standpoint, Sunday’s “Miss America” pageant suffered year-over-year losses in adults 18-49 and total viewership.

According to fast national data posted by Showbuzz, Sunday’s two-hour broadcast drew a 1.3 adults 18-49 rating and 6.23 million total viewers. The numbers trail the 1.5 rating and 7.1 million viewer mark drawn by last year’s pageant.

This year’s edition also received stronger lead-in support. It led out of “Celebrity Family Feud” (1.3, 6.60 million), while last year’s broadcast followed a “Shark Tank” re-run (0.9, 4.05 million).

Despite the year-to-year decline, “Miss America” was still the #2 broadcast program in both hours. Only NBC’s Sunday Night Football fared better.
