Sia’s & Sean Paul’s “Cheap Thrills” Reclaims #1 At Pop Radio; Sixth Week On Top

Sia’s “Cheap Thrills (featuring Sean Paul)” reclaims the throne on this week’s Mediabase pop radio airplay chart. In doing so, it secures a sixth non-consecutive week on top.

Spun ~16,484 times during the August 28-September 3 tracking period, “Cheap Thrills” rises one place to #1 on this week’s chart. This week’s spin count trails last week’s figure by a whopping 1,081 spins, but it still allows “Cheap Thrills” to move ahead of twenty one pilots’ “Ride.”

“Ride,” which spent one week at #1, falls to #2 with ~16,258 spins (-1,328).

Up one place, Adele’s “Send My Love (To Your New Lover)” earns #3 with ~15,171 spins (+1,345). Major Lazer’s “Cold Water (featuring Justin Bieber & MØ)” also rises one place; in its case moving from #5 to #4 on the strength of ~14,492 spins (+1,696).

Down two places, Calvin Harris’ “This Is What You Came For (featuring Rihanna)” takes #5. It received ~13,084 tracking period plays (-2,577).
