Bastille’s “Good Grief” is nearly Top 5 at alternative radio, and Capitol believes it can generate some interest at mainstream.

The label has set a September 20 pop radio impact date for the single, which is the lead single from the band’s forthcoming “Wild World.”

News of the planned pop push emerges as “Good Grief” begins to pick up airplay at the hot adult contemporary format. It is #6 on Mediabase’s building alternative chart.

Bastille last charted at pop with multi-format breakthrough “Pompeii.” The song reached #3 on Mediabase’s airplay chart.
