Frank Ocean’s “Blonde” Pacing For 225-240K US Sales, 265-290K Units

Frank Ocean’s “Blonde” will debut as a dominant #1 on this week’s Billboard Top Album Sales and Billboard 200 charts.

Based on sales figures from its first few days, Hits Daily Double projects “Blonde” to have sold 225-240,000 pure US copies by the close of tracking on August 25.

The inclusion of Streaming Equivalent Albums (track streams/1500) should produce a consumption total in the 265-290,000 neighborhood. Individual tracks are not currently available for purchase, so there will not be a Track Equivalent Albums (track sales/10) component to this week’s consumption tally.

The tallies will easily be enough for #1 on both charts. There is no other album expected to reach even 50,000 in pure sales or 100,000 in total consumption this week.

“Blonde” is the follow-up to Ocean’s debut “Channel Orange,” which sold 131,000 pure first week US copies.
