“Suicide Squad” suffered another sizable weekend-to-weekend drop, but it still claims #1 on the US box office chart.

The poorly reviewed blockbuster earned an estimated $20.7 million during its third weekend of release, bringing the film’s cume to $262.3 million. The mark trails last week’s gross by 52.4% but keeps “Suicide Squad” ahead of the pack.

Credited with $15.3 million in receipts this weekend, “Sausage Party” holds at #2. After two weekends, its cumulative total is $65.3 million.

New release “War Dogs” starts at #3 with $14.3 million, while fellow newcomers “Kubo And The Two String” (#4, $14.3 million) and “Ben-Hur” (#5, $11.4 million) complete the Top 5.

None of the new releases posted strong opening weekend numbers, but the massively budgeted, high-profile “Ben-Hur” registers as a particularly clear flop.
