Scream [MTV]

The season finale of MTV’s “Scream” enjoyed a slight week-to-week gain in adults 18-49 but endured a slight loss in total viewership.

According to live+same-day data, Tuesday’s episode drew a 0.19 adults 18-49 rating and 341,000 total viewers. Last week’s episode posted a 0.18 in the key demo but reached a total of 347,000 audience members.

Tuesday’s episode, which served as the second season finale, led into an after-show. The half-hour special drew a 0.08 adults 18-49 rating and reached a total of 145,000 live+same-day viewers.

MTV has yet to announce a decision regarding a third season, but we know this week’s episode will definitely not be the last “Scream” broadcast.

A two-hour special edition of “Scream” — one that will answer lingering season two questions — will air this October.
