“Suicide Squad” Soundtrack Claims #1 On US iTunes Sales Chart; Skillet, Cody Johnson Follow

Frank Ocean’s much-rumored new album has not arrived on iTunes — at least not yet.

Absent that high-profile release, the explicit version of “Suicide Squad: The Album” was able to claim the throne at the US iTunes store.

As of 2:15AM ET, the movie soundtrack is #1 on the US album sales chart. Skillet’s new “Unleashed” directly follows at #2, while Cody Johnson’s debuting “Gotta Be Me” is #3.

DJ Khaled’s “Major Key,” last week’s best seller, presently holds #4 on the chart, while The Cadillac Three’s “Bury Me In My Boots” is #5.

“NOW 59” (#6), the clean version of “Suicide Squad” (#7), O.A.R.’s “XX” (#8), DJ Snake’s “Encore” (#9), and Chris Lane’s “Girl Problems” (#10) form the balance of the Top 10.

Specific sales projections should emerge in the coming days.
