Ratings: “The Night Of,” “Vice Principals,” “Last Week Tonight” Rise, “Ballers” Slips

HBO’s series had mixed results Sunday. 9PM miniseries “The Night Of,” 10:30PM comedy “Vice Principals”, and 11PM comedic news program “Last Week Tonight” posted week-to-week gains, while 10PM comedy “Ballers” slipped.

According to live+same-day data posted by Showbuzz, Sunday’s “The Night Of” drew a 0.50 adults 18-49 rating and 1.34 million total viewers. The numbers top the 0.48 rating and 1.20 million viewer mark drawn by last week’s episode.

“The Night Of” outdrew “Ballers” among total viewers for the first time this season.

Said “Ballers,” which was recently renewed for season 3, posted a 0.60 adults 18-49 rating and 1.27 million total viewers. Last week’s broadcast scored a 0.62 rating and 1.28 million.

“Vice Principals” followed with a 0.42 rating and 0.89 million viewer mark, besting the 0.37 rating and 0.79 million viewer sum garnered by last week’s episode.

HBO’s Sunday also included “Last Week Tonight” (0.53 rating, 1.27 million viewers this week versus a 0.42 and 1.09 million last week.
