Drake’s “Controlla” Reaches #1 At Rhythmic Radio; Calvin Harris & Rihanna Top 5

Making good on Headline Planet’s mid-week projection, Drake’s “Controlla” rises one place to #1 on this week’s Mediabase rhythmic radio airplay chart.

“Controlla” received a format-leading ~6,556 spins during the July 24-30 tracking week (+465). The count allows Drake’s “Views” song to seize the throne from Rihanna’s “Needed Me,” which drops to #2 after two weeks on top.

“Needed Me” received ~6,316 weekly spins (-323).

Played ~5,395 times during the tracking week (+361), DJ Khaled’s “For Free (featuring Drake)” rises one place to #3. Calvin Harris’ “This Is What You Came For (featuring Rihanna)” follows at #4. Up two places from last week’s position, “TIWYCF” received ~4,932 tracking week spins (+173).

Down two places, Kent Jones’ “Don’t Mind” ranks as the week’s #5 song. It earned ~4,853 weekly spins (-517).
