While initial airplay for Katy Perry’s “Rise” and Britney Spears’ “Make Me (featuring G-Eazy)” predominantly came from pop stations, the two songs received attention from other formats.

Hot adult contemporary provided a particularly notable level of early airplay to both new singles.

Perry’s NBC Olympics anthem received 180 spins within the confines of the July 10-16 tracking week. The count positions “Rise” as the Mediabase Hot AC panel’s #53 song.

“Make Me” ranks as the format’s #56 song; it received 117 tracking week plays.

Forty five stations contributed to the “Rise” spin count, while thirty four played “Make Me.” Both did not debut until the sixth day of the tracking week.

— “Rise” and “Make Me” concurrently grab #48 and #29, respectively, at pop radio. “Rise” also earns #59 at adult contemporary (albeit with merely 10 registered spins), while “Make Me” lands outside the Top 95 but pulls in a non-trivial 60 spins from rhythmic.
