Like fellow Atlantic Records-backed artist Ed Sheeran, Bruno Mars has received a handful of RIAA certifications in recent weeks.

The most recent certifications were of the multi-platinum variety.

Mars’ smash “Just The Way You Are” ascended to 9x platinum status on July 1. The certification confirms a US unit total of 9 million; under the RIAA’s digital singles program, a unit is equal to 1 paid download or 150 streams.

“Grenade” received a 7x platinum single (7,000,000 units) that same day.

On July 8, Mars’ “Locked Out Of Heaven” attained 6x platinum (6,000,000 units) status.
