Fun.’s “Some Nights” Earns 3X Platinum Certification; Rob Thomas’ “Something To Be” 2X

Atlantic Records recently secured a handful of RIAA certifications for its artists’ albums and singles.

Included on that list are fun.’s “Some Nights” and Rob Thomas’ “Something To Be.”

The former was certified as a 3x platinum album on June 16, 2016. The certification confirms a US unit total of 3 million, with each unit being equal to 1 album sale, 10 track sales or 1500 track streams.

The latter received a 2x platinum honor, in recognition of moving past 2 million units in the United States.
