Columbia Eyes US Radio Airplay For Fleur East’s “Sax”

Fleur East performed on Tuesday’s “Dancing With The Stars” finale. She is performing on Wednesday’s “The Late Late Show With James Corden” and next Thursday’s TODAY Show.

The string of US television appearances is not random; it is the beginning of an effort to break the English artist in America.

Columbia is hoping mainstream radio will assist in that effort. Its radio team sent out a promotional e-mail for the song Wednesday afternoon, indicative of its hope for airplay.

“Sax,” which appears on her album “Love, Sax and Flashbacks,” hit #3 in the UK. It also charted in numerous other international markets.
