Castle [ABC]

Monday’s “Castle,” which we now know will serve as the long-running drama’s series finale, delivered a season high performance.

According to fast national data first posted by Showbuzz, the episode drew a 1.3 adults 18-49 rating and 7.76 million total viewers.

Barring a downward adjustment in the finals, both will rank as highs for the eighth season. Prior to this week’s finale, the season eight highs stood at a 1.2 in the demo and 6.84 million in total viewership.

Last week’s episode drew a 1.1 and 6.74 million.

Monday’s “Castle” bested its 10PM NBC and CBS competition in total viewership. It tied NBC’s “Blindspot” for the lead in adults 18-49.

ABC led into “Castle” with “Dancing With The Stars” (1.7/11.09 million at 8PM, 1.8/11.98 million at 9PM vs. a 1.7 with 11.33 million from 8-10PM last week).
