Interscope has yet not confirmed formal plans to push The 1975’s Top 20 alternative single “The Sound” to hot adult contemporary radio, but two of the format’s stations have begun to play the song.
Over the past seven days, “The Sound” has received 21 spins from Dallas’ 103.7 KVIL and 16 from Minneapolis’ KS95.
The Dallas station played the song only once during the previous seven day period. KS95 did not play it at all.
“The Sound” appears on The 1975’s “i like it when you sleep, for you are so beautiful yet so unaware of it.”
