Rihanna’s “Work” Reaches 3X Platinum in the US, “ANTI” Attains 2X Platinum Status

Rihanna’s most recent #1 single — and the album on which it appears — both received new RIAA honors on April 29.

Her “Work” was certified all the way to triple platinum on that date. A triple platinum digital certification confirms a US unit total of at least 3 million, with one unit being equal to 1 paid download or 150 streams.

The new “Work” certifications widen Rihanna’s lead when it comes to digital US single awards; she now has 105 million in certified US digital single units.

Album “ANTI,” meanwhile, went double platinum. The certification indicates a unit total of at least 2 million.

Under the new albums program, one unit is equal to 1 album sale, 10 track sales, or 1500 track streams.
