Ariana Grande’s “Dangerous Woman” Soars To #1 On US iTunes Sales Chart (Updated)

Update: Just prior to 8AM ET Friday morning, Ariana Grande’s new single “Dangerous Woman” leapfrogged Meghan Trainor’s “NO” to become the #1 song on the US iTunes single sales chart.

====================

Ariana Grande’s “Dangerous Woman” is off to a predictably hot start.

The lead single and title track from Grande’s forthcoming third album, which arrived just after 11PM ET Thursday night, had reached #3 on the US iTunes single sales chart by 2:30AM ET.

Given the rapid rate at which it is growing, an ascent to #1 seems very likely. And insofar as heavy initial airplay and a “Saturday Night Live” showcase should add to its momentum, a strong first week sales total also seems likely.

“Dangerous Woman,” the album, arrives on May 20.
