Lukas Graham’s “7 Years” Going Top 10 at Hot AC; Taylor’s “New Romantics” Top 15

Lukas Graham’s breakthrough hit “7 Years” is on track to reach the Top 10 on this week’s Mediabase hot adult contemporary airplay chart.

The smash — which recently reached #1 on the US iTunes sales chart and the Top 10 on the Hot 100 — received 2,404 spins during the first four days of the March 6-12 tracking week. Up 11.3% from the count at this point last week, the tally slots “7 Years” at #8 on Mediabase’s building chart. There are no obvious threats to its position and thus no reasons to doubt it will remain in the Top 10 through the close of tracking.

“7 Years” was the most recent iHeartRadio “On The Verge” selection at Hot AC.

As “7 Years” moves toward an official Top 10 position, Taylor Swift’s “New Romantics” is headed for the Top 15. Spun 1,321 times during the tracking week’s first four days, the song is #15 on the building chart.

It, similarly, faces no obvious threat from below. It, moreover, may overtake Daya’s building #14 “Hide Away” before tracking ends.
