Single Sales: Rihanna’s “Work” Was #1 In New York, LA, Chicago

While it was #2 on the overall Digital Songs chart, Rihanna’s current radio single “Work (featuring Drake)” was the February 5-11 tracking week’s best seller in several metropolitan US markets.

Those markets include New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago, which successively represent America’s top three metropolitan areas.

Nielsen reports that of the song’s 113,104 weekly US sales, 16,641 came from New York, 7,903 came from Los Angeles, and 3,823 came from Chicago.

Aided by another week of solid sales as well as significant gains in airplay and streaming, “Work” rises to #4 on this week’s all-encompassing Billboard Hot 100 chart.
