Grammys: Meghan Trainor Wins Award For Best New Artist

The second “Big Four” award has been officially distributed.

And unlike the first one, this one went to the betting favorite.

Meghan Trainor, who scored nominations in two Big Four categories last year, walks away with this year’s Best New Artist trophy.

Trainor beat out Sam Hunt, Courtney Barnett, James Bay, and Tori Kelly for the prize.

Earlier in the night, Ed Sheeran upset Taylor Swift in the Song Of The Year race. Album Of The Year and Record Of The Year, the remaining “Big Four” awards, are still to be distributed.
