Alessia Cara, Zara Larsson & MNEK, One Direction Officially Enter Pop Radio’s Top 40

Making good on Headline Planet’s projections, Alessia Cara’s “Wild Things,” Zara Larsson & MNEK’s “Never Forget You,” and One Direction’s “History” officially claim Top 40 positions on this week’s Mediabase pop radio airplay chart.

Spun 1,586 times during the February 7-13 tracking week (+592), “Wild Things” rises five places to #36 on this week’s chart. “Wild Things” is the follow-up to Cara’s “Here,” which recently reached #1 on the chart.

Up eight places, Larsson & MNEK’s “Never Forget You” grabs the #37 position on this week’s chart. The song, which is the first Top 40 US pop hit for either artist, received 1,485 tracking week spins (+750).

One Direction’s “History” follows at #38. Up from #44 last week, the song earned 1,136 tracking week plays (+281). “History” is the third single from “Made In The AM”; previous tracks “Drag Me Down” and “Perfect” peaked in the Top 10 and Top 15, respectively.
