Ratings: FOX’s “New Girl” Rises This Week, “Grinder” Sinks to Low

FOX’s Tuesday night comedy lineup got off to an improved start this week. Its final component, however, posted series low numbers.

Per Nielsen Fast National Data, 8PM lead-off “New Girl” drew a 1.4 adults 18-49 rating and 2.980 million total viewers. The numbers top the 1.2 rating and 2.844 million total viewership mark posted by last week’s episode.

This was the second episode to air without titular “New Girl” Zooey Deschanel.

“Grandfathered” led out of “New Girl” with a 1.0 rating and 2.568 million viewers. The numbers narrowly top last week’s 0.9 and 2.520 million.

Even in the demo but down in viewers from last week’s episode, 9PM comedy “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” followed with a 1.0 and 2.220 million. Last week’s “B99” drew a 1.0 with 2.377 million.

9:30PM series “The Grinder,” the aforementioned final component of FOX’s Tuesday lineup, slipped in both columns. Down from last week’s 0.7 with 2.000 million viewers, this week’s 0.6 rating and 1.650 million viewership mark represent series lows.
