Nielsen’s Live+7 ratings report paints a favorable picture of the second “Shades Of Blue” episode. The NBC drama was the January 11-17 broadcast week’s top L+7 percentage gainer in total viewership. It tied for the top percentage gain in adults 18-49.
The 1/14 episode, which drew a 1.3 adults 18-49 rating and 6.641 million viewers from a live+same-day standpoint, improved to a 2.6 with 11.312 million in live+7. Seven days of time-shifted viewing thus increased the adults 18-49 rating by 100% and total viewership by 70%.
The 100% adults 18-49 gain ties that of The CW’s 1/15 “Reign” for the week’s best among adults 18-49. The CW’s “Reign” rating improved from a 0.3 in L+SD to a 0.6 in L+7.
The 70% viewership gain, meanwhile, ranks as the week’s best. “Shades Of Blue” lead-in “The Blacklist” was the next-best performer; it saw its viewership improve from 7.472 million to 12.352 million (+65%).
