Ratings Update: The CW’s “Reign” Stays At Season High; Adjustment Was Minimal

Update: Insofar as the fast national ratings could not account for weather coverage pre-emptions in numerous east coast markets, many expected The CW’s “Reign” — and all Friday shows — to face atypically significant adjustments in the final ratings report.

Those significant adjustments did not come.

Per final broadcast data, Friday’s “Reign” posted a 0.4 adults 18-49 rating and 1.237 million total viewers.

The numbers are off only slightly from the 0.4/1.263 million reported in the fast nationals. They, moreover, collectively reflect a season high performance for “Reign.”

The 0.4 rating ties a previous season high, while the 1.237 million viewership mark represents a new one.

Last week, it was due to a basketball game in Chicago. This week, it was due to news pre-emptions associated with the east coast snowstorm.

In both cases, the preliminary ratings will be subject to notable adjustments in the final Nielsen report.

For The CW’s “Reign,” that means the 0.4 adults 18-49 rating and 1.263 million viewership total posted in the fast nationals will almost certainly be coming down.

Last week’s episode posted a 0.4 with 1.358 million in the fast nationals but a 0.3 with 1.099 million in the finals.

This Friday’s “Reign” was the last before a hiatus.
