Ratings: ABC’s “Galavant” Season Premiere Ties Series Low

Occupying the 8-9PM hour, Sunday’s pair of “Galavant” episodes collectively served as the second season premiere.

Based on preliminary ratings data, their average adults 18-49 rating ties a series low. Their average viewership level represents a new series low.

Per Nielsen’s fast national report, the episodes averaged a 0.9 adults 18-49 rating and 3.22 million total viewers.

The numbers markedly trail the 2.0 rating and 7.42 million viewership average posted by last year’s hourlong series premiere event. They also trail the 1.1 rating and 4.37 million viewership mark drawn by the first season finale.

Prior to this week’s block, the lowest-ranking “Galavant” hour came on January 18, 2015. That set of episodes, which competed against the AFC Championship, drew a 0.9 rating and 3.42 million total viewers.
