Jordan Smith Wins NBC’s “The Voice,” Emily Ann Roberts Takes Second

Levine Smith [NBC]

The results portion of Tuesday’s “The Voice” finale did not contain a surprise.

Jordan Smith, the clear frontrunner, indeed won the ninth edition of NBC’s flagship music competition.

Throughout the season, Smith’s performances generated considerable buzz and attained unprecedented success from a sales standpoint. Clearly resonant with viewers, Smith likely also benefited from a presumed “vote split” between Team Blake competitors Emily Ann Roberts and Barrett Baber.

Smith represents the third Team Adam contestant to win “The Voice.” Team Adam previously won the competition thanks to season one’s Javier Colon and season five’s Tessanne Chin.

Team Blake’s Roberts and Baber took second and third in this year’s competition, respectively. Jeffery Austin, a Team Gwen competitor, earned fourth place.
