Taylor Swift’s “Style” Certified 3X Platinum In The United States

The second-most-certified digital singles artist in RIAA history continues moving toward the top of the mountain.

On December 7, 2015, Taylor Swift’s “Style” earned a 3X platinum certification from the RIAA. The certification confirms a US unit total of at least 3 million; one unit is equal to 1 paid download or 100 streams.

In elevating “Style” from double platinum to triple platinum, the new certification brings Taylor Swift’s digital single certification total to 96.5 million total units. That brings her within 4.5 million units of the top spot.

Rihanna, who earlier this year dethroned Swift to become the top digital singles artist, has 101 million in unit certifications.
