Cam’s “Untamed” Pacing For 24-27,000 First Week US Sales

While Cam’s debut album “Untamed” will not compete for a top spot on the all-genre Billboard Top Album Sales chart, it will post a respectable opening week US sales total.

Based on opening day sales data, Hits Daily Double forecasts a bow in the 24-27,000 range.

If it indeed lands in that range, “Untamed” will narrowly top the debut figure for Maddie & Tae’s “Start Here” (23,682) and start comfortably hotter than many other debuts from recent country radio breakthroughs.

Such albums include Old Dominion’s “Meat And Candy” (20,481), Michael Ray’s “Michael Ray” (11,294), Kelsea Ballerini’s “The First Time” (13,465), and A Thousand Horses’ “Southernality” (~17,000).

“Untamed” features Cam’s breakthrough hit “Burning House.” The song, which was launched with support from the iHeartRadio “On The Verge” program, was #5 on this past week’s Mediabase chart and #6 on this past week’s Billboard Country Airplay listing.
