Justin Bieber’s “Purpose” Receives Platinum Certification in the US

Justin Bieber’s “Purpose” officially arrived on November 13, 2015.

On December 7, 2015, it was officially certified platinum by the RIAA.

That means Bieber’s album needed fewer than four weeks to achieve the distinction, which confirms a US shipment total of at least 1 million.

Through December 3, “Purpose” had generated over 835,000 in end-consumer US sales.

Not simply successful as a complete album, “Purpose” has already yielded a 2x-platinum single in “What Do You Mean?” and a platinum single in “Sorry.” “Where Are U Now,” which was formally promoted as a Skrillex & Diplo single but appears on the album, is 2x-platinum.
