Ratings Update: “Scream Queens” Improves This Week; “Grandfathered,” “Grinder” Hold At Lows

Final Ratings Update: Tuesday’s “Scream Queens” improved upon last week’s series low performance.

Per final Nielsen data, the episode drew a 0.9 adults 18-49 rating and 2.398 million total viewers. The numbers best the 0.8 and 1.983 million posted by last week’s broadcast.

Despite the week-to-week gains, the numbers are still soft even by the show’s weak ratings standard.

Earlier in the night, FOX aired “Grandfathered” and “The Grinder,” which posted gains in total viewership but held at their series lows in adults 18-49.

Grandfathered: 0.9, 3.111 million vs. 0.9, 2.717 million
The Grinder: 0.7, 2.406 million vs. 0.7, 2.249 million

After sinking to a series low for last week’s episode, “Scream Queens” enjoyed an improved adults 18-49 rating this week.

It also improved upon last week’s series low viewership mark.

Per Nielsen fast national data, Tuesday’s episode drew a 0.9 adults 18-49 rating and 2.403 million total viewers. The numbers best the 0.8 rating and 1.983 million viewership total achieved by the November 24 broadcast.

While up week-to-week, the performance was soft even by the show’s unremarkable ratings standard.

— FOX led into “Scream Queens” with “Grandfathered” (0.9, 3.098 million viewers this week vs. 0.9, 2.717 million last week) and “The Grinder” (0.7, 2.406 million this week vs. 0.7, 2.249 million last week).

The two comedies held at their series lows in adults 18-49 but enjoyed week-to-week gains in viewership.
