FXX’s “You’re The Worst” Renewed For Third Season

While “You’re The Worst” has not generated strong ratings, the comedy has generated considerable critical acclaim and even more fan passion.

It has also won the continued support of FXX, which has issued a third season renewal.

FXX made the news official in a Wednesday morning press release. The network also confirmed a broader, multi-year deal with Stephen Falk, which will enable him “to write, develop and produce television projects for FX Networks and FX Productions.”

“Stephen is one of the best new talents in comedy – as funny, thoughtful and original as You’re the Worst and we can’t wait to see what he comes up with next,” said FX’s Nick Grad. “You’re the Worst, already one of the most critically-acclaimed comedies on television, is also one of the most innovative, something Stephen and the cast will continue in the much-deserved third season. The daring turn this season, led by the honest and respectful portrayal of Gretchen’s depression, was a very courageous move for a comedy and another milestone for You’re the Worst.”
