Adele’s “Hello” Headed For #1 at Pop, Hot Adult Contemporary Radio

Adele’s “Hello,” which has already reached #1 on the Triple A and adult contemporary airplay charts, will this week do the same on Mediabase’s pop and hot adult contemporary listings.

The lead “25” single received 14,682 pop spins during the first six days of the November 15-21 tracking week. Up 26.4% from the previous week’s count, the tally position “Hello” at #1 on Mediabase’s building pop chart.

Shawn Mendes’ “Stitches,” which topped the previous two official charts, is down to #2 on the building listing. It received 14,451 spins during the tracking week’s first six days (-3.4%).

Since “Stitches” is in a state of decline at the format, “Hello” will have no issue retaining its lead.

“Hello” concurrently reached 5,952 hot adult contemporary spins during the tracking week’s first six days. Up 11.8% from last week’s mark, the tally thrusts “Hello” past Elle King’s “Ex’s And Oh’s” on the building chart. The song, which was last week’s official leader, has thus far amassed 5,903 weekly spins and is #2 on building.
