Coldplay’s “Adventure Of A Lifetime” Ranks as Alt Radio’s Most-Added Song

The most-added song at hot adult contemporary radio is also the week’s leader on the alternative add board.

Picked up by 40 Mediabase-monitored alternative stations, Coldplay’s new “Adventure Of A Lifetime” easily earns the most-added honor.

Its impressive weekly add count more than doubles that of the week’s second-most-added track.

Cage The Elephant’s “Mess Around,” that song, scored adds from 19 alternative stations this week. Nothing But Thieves’ “Trip Switch,” which is the format’s iHeartRadio “On The Verge” song, follows with 17 adds, while Weezer’s “Thank God For Girls” (9 adds) and The Neighbourhood’s “Cry Baby” (8 adds) take fourth- and fifth- on the add board, respectively.

Other notable alternative options this week: Disclosure’s “Magnets (featuring Lorde)” (5 adds, 6th-most-added), X Ambassadors’ “Unsteady” (4 adds, 7th), JR JR’s “Gone” (3 adds, 8th, tie), Mainland’s “Outcast” (3 adds, 8th, tie), Mumford & Sons’ “Ditmas” (3 adds, 8th, tie), and The 1975’s “Love Me” (3 adds, 8th, tie).
