Ratings: HBO’s “The Leftovers” Grows This Week

Airing in a considerably more competitive climate this year, HBO’s “The Leftovers” is clearly not going to return to its first season levels.

Sunday’s episode did, however, enjoy a second straight week of ratings gains.

This week’s broadcast, which was the sixth of the second season, drew a 0.33 adults 18-49 rating with 636,000 total viewers.

Last week’s episode, which itself enjoyed weekly improvement in both categories, posted a 0.28 and reached 625,000 total viewers.

Despite the consecutive weeks of increase, the performance remains markedly below that achieved on October 18 (0.38, 777,000 total viewers), let alone those typical of the first season. No season one “Leftovers” episode drew fewer than 1.38 million total live+same-day audience members.
