Ratings: HBO’s “The Leftovers” Falls To New Viewership Low

Sunday’s “The Leftovers” proved unable to sustain the previous week’s adults 18-49 and total viewership gains.

The episode, which was the fourth of the second season, drew a 0.26 adults 18-49 rating with 519,000 total viewers. The numbers comfortably trail those of the previous broadcast, which managed a 0.38 with 777,000 total viewers.

This week’s viewership mark actually ranks as a new low for the series. The previous low of 552,000 viewers came on October 11.

This episode narrowly bested that broadcast’s 0.25 adults 18-49 rating, but total viewership should be more important to a premium network like HBO that makes its money from subscriptions rather than advertisements.
