Nicki Minaj’s “The Night Is Still Young” Reaches Platinum Status in US

Nicki Minaj’s “The Night Is Still Young” has officially been certified under the RIAA’s digital singles program.

The single, which appears on “The Pinkprint” and was pushed to pop and rhythmic radio, was formally certified platinum on October 13, 2015.

The RIAA’s digital singles program defines a platinum song as one that has generated at least 1 million US units. One unit is equal to 1 paid download or 100 streams.

“Night” retroactively received a gold certification (500,000) on the same day.
