Ratings: FX’s “Fargo” Premiere Trails Season One Opener, Finale

While it narrowly avoided a series low in viewership, Monday’s season two “Fargo” premiere posted considerably weaker numbers than the 2014 season one opener.

It also trailed the first season finale.

Per Nielsen cable data, Monday’s “Fargo” drew a 0.48 adults 18-49 rating with 1.588 million total viewers.

The aforementioned season one premiere posted a 0.8 rating with 2.654 million total viewers. The critically acclaimed show closed its first season with a 0.61 and 1.980 million total viewers.

Only one first season episode drew fewer viewers than this week’s premiere. That episode, which aired on May 27, 2014, reached 1.515 million. It posted the same (rounded) 0.5 in adults 18-49.
