R. City’s “Locked Away” Remains #1 at Pop Radio; Shawn Mendes’ “Stitches” Now Top 5

R City [RCA]

A slight week-over-week spin loss does not prevent R. City’s “Locked Away (featuring Adam Levine)” from retaining its #1 spot on the Mediabase pop radio airplay chart.

“Locked Away” received approximately 17,232 pop spins during the October 4-10 tracking week. While that trails the previous week’s sum by 49 plays, it keeps “Locked Away” atop the heap for a second straight week.

The Weeknd’s “The Hills,” which repeats as runner-up, received ~16,950 plays during the tracking week (-979).

Each up one place, Justin Bieber’s “What Do You Mean?” (#3, +1 | ~16,837, +2,586) and Taylor Swift’s “Wildest Dreams” (#4, +1 | ~15,772, +1,967) occupy the next two places. The songs’ spin gains ranks as pop radio’s greatest and second-greatest, respectively, this week.

Shawn Mendes’ surging “Stitches” grabs the #5 spot. Up a healthy four places, it makes its inaugural Top 5 appearance on the strength of its ~13,201 weekly plays (+1,921).
