Cold War Kids’ “First” Holds #1 at Alt Radio; Twenty One Pilots’ “Stressed Out” Top 10

Cold War Kids’ “First,” which last week returned to the #1 spot on Mediabase’s alternative radio airplay chart, retains that position on this week’s chart.

Spun 2,822 times during the September 27-October 3 tracking week (+69), “First” earns a third non-consecutive (and second consecutive) week at #1 on the listing.

X Ambassadors’ former multi-week #1 “Renegades,” which was #3 on last week’s chart, improves to #2 this week. It received 2,597 tracking week spins (-46).

Elle King’s “Ex’s and Oh’s,” which is also a former #1, slips one place to #3 this week. It earned 2,538 plays during the official tracking week (-145).

AWOLNATION’s “I Am” (#4, = | 2,147, +53) and The Struts’ “Could Have Been Me” (#5, = | 2,091, +92) again complete the Top 5.

While the Top 5 is without a new arrival, the Top 10 welcomes an addition this week. Up three places, twenty one pilots’ “Stressed Out” grabs #10 on the strength of its 1,603 weekly plays (+337).
