Ratings: “Code Black” Premieres Modestly in Demo, Draws 8.6M Viewers (Updated)

Final Ratings Update: CBS’ “Code Black” debuted with a 1.5 adults 18-49 rating and 8.581 million total viewers. It was the 10PM timeslot’s #2 broadcast program in adults 18-49 (behind NBC’s “Chicago PD,” 1.7) and #1 broadcast program in total viewers.

Earlier in the night, CBS aired “Survivor” (2.4, 9.429 million) and “Criminal Minds” (2.0, 10.075 million).

The premiere of CBS’ “Code Black” posted a modest number in the adults 18-49 demographic.

Per fast national data, “Code Black” drew a 1.6 adults 18-49 rating with 8.54 million viewers. It was its timeslot’s #2 program in adults 18-49 (behind NBC’s “Chicago PD,” 1.7) and #1 program in total audience.

Last year’s “Stalker” debuted with a 2.0 adults 18-49 in the same Wednesday at 10PM timeslot. Fellow CBS newcomer “Limitless,” meanwhile, has posted two straight 1.9 ratings in its Monday at 10PM timeslot.

CBS led into “Code Black” with “Criminal Minds” (2.0, 9.89 million). It opened its night with “Survivor” (2.3, 9.34 million).
