Ratings: MTV’s “Awkward,” “Faking It” Post Gains This Week

Last week’s “Awkward” was the series’ lowest-rated and least-watched episode on record. Last week’s “Faking It” was the show’s least-watched broadcast to date.

This week’s episodes fared better.

Monday’s “Awkward” posted a 0.38 adults 18-49 rating with 749,000 total viewers. Both numbers markedly top those of last week’s series low broadcast, which drew a 0.28 and only 532,000 viewers.

Lead-out “Faking It” also enjoyed week-over-week gains. This week’s episode scored a 0.25 adults 18-49 rating with 584,000 viewers; last week’s managed a 0.21 with 401,000.

While up markedly on a week-to-week basis, the performances remain soft based on historical standards. Prior to the current fifth season, no “Awkward” episode had ever drawn fewer than 823,000 viewers. Prior to the current second half of the second season, no “Faking It” had even posted a viewership tally beneath 645,000.
