Ellie Goulding’s “On My Mind” Takes #5 on Sales Chart, Sold 78K In First Full Week

Ellie Goulding’s new single “On My Mind” was America’s fifth-best-selling single during the September 18-24 tracking week.

According to Nielsen Music, the new single sold 77.9K copies during that seven-day frame, which marked its first full week of release. That earns the song the #5 position on Billboard’s Digital Songs chart.

Only The Weeknd’s “The Hills” (110K), Drake’s “Hotline Bling” (104K), Justin Bieber’s “What Do You Mean?” (103K) and Taylor Swift’s “Wildest Dreams” (89K) had stronger sales weeks.

“On My Mind” technically emerged on the last day of the previous tracking week. Precise data was not available at press time, but industry estimates suggest the song sold over 10K copies on September 17.

Powered by its weekly sales, streaming (#44 on the Streaming Songs chart) and airplay, “On My Mind” debuts at #22 on the all-encompassing Billboard Hot 100.
