Thomas Rhett’s “Die a Happy Man” Ranks as Country’s Most-Added; Lauren Alaina Follows

Thomas Rhett | CBS

Added by a healthy 56 Mediabase-monitored stations in conjunction with this week’s official impact, Thomas Rhett’s new single “Die a Happy Man” ranks as country radio’s most-added song.

Cut from Rhett’s new album “Tangled Up,” the single represents Rhett’s chance at a fifth consecutive country radio #1. The strong adds week represents the song’s first step toward making that ambitious achievement a reality.

Lauren Alaina’s new “Next Boyfriend,” which also impacted this week, follows as second-most-added. It scored adds from 44 monitored stations.

An add count of 40 earns Dustin Lynch’s similarly new “Mind Reader” the third-most-added distinction, while George Strait’s “Could Beer Conversation” and Sam Hunt’s “Break Up In a Small Town” share the fourth-most-added honor. The songs each received 27 adds.

Other notable country radio options: Zac Brown Band’s “Beautiful Drug” (21 adds, 6th-most-added), Rascal Flatts’ “I Like The Sound of That” (20, 7th), Chris Young’s “I’m Comin’ Over” (13, 8th), Brothers Osborne’s “Stay A Little Longer” (12, 9th, tie), Joe Nichols’ “Freaks Like Me” (12, 9th, tie).
